About the Festival of Diwali
Diwali is without doubt the most spectacular and most colorful religious festivals of India. They celebrate it in late autumn, and are each in the evenings, the windows of the houses with lights and candles illuminated or decorated. Especially from a distance and in the darkness, the beautiful face of hundreds of these lights is reflected back. The word "Diwali" is a shortened form of "Deepawali", which means "Light Swarm".
